@Tyler Crusher: Noted. I think this was pointed out before.
@Defiant Creeper: Thanks for joining the discussion. Very much appreciated. Every voice should be heard. Disagree on your point about "having other things to do" though. It's up to each one of us how to spend his/her time. And don't worry: there's no reason for a block. Stick to ToU and community policies and all is well. ;)
btw: please, continue the discussion about school filtering, technical details and other off-topic talk in a separate post/message walls. Thank you.
@Dv54321: First things first: this is not a fight. A fight -- at least to my definition -- would include that I pull each and every dirty trick in the book to humilate and silence you. Which is not the case. I'm here with you and the community to find a solution. So, discuss with me, please. I'm making my points, please, bring out yours.
On your last posts: sounds good. nice words, but only words. As you said it yourself: you've changed. Now, how can we make sure you don't change your mind again tomorrow and all of my concerns come true? That's why I'm objecting your suggestion giving you a trail run. Technically you still *could* go on another rampage and block admins. Read DefiantCreeper's comment: he's hestitating to speak freely. This is not a good sign for a healthy community.
So, why not do it the other way round like I suggested before? In your own words: "[...] I haven't used my rights [...] because I haven't needed to [...]". So, if you don't need them, why keep them? If it's just a button on your profile page, please, explain to me why you want to keep it so much.
The one single difference between bureaurat and an admin is the ability of promoting and demoting admins. So, as I see it, there is no point to promote someone at the moment. What is left? Yepp, demoting...
By giving up your status you would prove to everyone that all you said above is your true intention.
Similar for admin status: if your highest priority is updating the wiki, what do you need admin rights for? Point out to me when, how and where you did administrative work. Don't worry, I wont bring up the all-caps post again. We've gone through this.
Speaking of administrative work: it's far more than just deleting pages for housekeeping. That's what a content moderator does. Admistrative work includes a lot of what we're doing here right now: discussing with other users, making sure conversations don't go a bad way. looking for solutions. And to come back to the "fight" topic, I can tell you from my own experience, in other communities this here is nothing. There are far -- well, not worse, but let's say -- more unpleasant guys out there than me. ;)
So, in order to not drag this out any longer: you uttered words, now let them follow action. Or continue discussing with me. I'm up for both.
