That feel when you realize you can't begin to grasp game strategy
Reading this I have no idea what "mana screw" is or what is special about this card. I owned a starter set of MTG at one point but without getting to practice the game I guess it's hard to understand its short-term tactics or long-term strategy. I guess that means I could barely appreciate what Adventure Time was parodying. Same problem with Overpower.

since I'm here for some time now, I thought it might be a good time to introduce myself. Partly to get to know the community, partly because I want to avoid some people thinking "Oh my god, what is that guy doing here?"
I'm StalkingVengeance, named like the Dissension card with the same name which is my all time favorite magic card. I'm 25 years old, I live in Germany, I'm looking forward to go to the university and I am a magic player since the year 2006.

I will try to be as active as possible -
However my semester finals have started today, I no longer have access to my iPad. All of my editing today has been through school computers on my free time. On top of that, this school year ends tomorrow. (As of tomorrow afternoon I will be a High School Senior. :D )
As a result my internet access will be more limited (probably) over the summer so as a result I will be temporarily inactive until further notice.
Keep in mind I will still edit whenever possible, and I encourage other users to contribute in my stead.
I promise that I will still do my best to be active and I will return more often when I have fuller access.

"Image Policy"
Icons should be uploaded into .png format due to transparency inclusion.
Card images should be included in .jpg or .png format (The wiki uses a mix of both currently, as well as .jpeg) and be taken from sources such as Gatherer or Magiccards.info. I've also started to appreciate Hunter a lot, too.
A card should be uploaded to a file name that represents its full card name (including punctuation) and set name (to be differentiated from its reprints (even if it is currently only in a single set).
The set name is taken from the abbreviations which can be found on the Set page, or on the individual set page (not currently, but soon).
For example:

Cardtable categories
Here's a post for the cardpage categories.
What do we want on them? Here's a quick list of what comes to mind. Some of this might not matter with upcoming cardpage edits, but we'll see.
A card such as Squire? White. Grizzly Bears? Green.
Experiment Kraj? Green. Blue. Progenitus? White. Blue. Black. Red. Green.
Hybrid...needs a look at. While something like White/Blue would seem fine for a card such as Steel of the Godhead, its currently being used for White and Blue multicolored cards as well. Do we want that? Should they be "White Blue" instead? Or should they just be separate only? I'll get back to this...
This seems easier than colors. Mostly. Creatures, artifacts, and so on, most are only going to be one type.

Cleaning.
Random AWB edits on the bottom went over 4000+ cards fixing random links (plural pipe links, mainly) as well as italic code. It fixed around 430 or so pages. I double checked a lot of edits at times to make sure it wasn't making things worse.

First planeswalker
Today I recieved my first Planeswaker: Tezzeret the Seeker. I didn't know I had it until I dropped the cards I was holding while I was outside. They started blowing in the wind and The_GreatPerhaps helped me get them. All the sudden he started yelling "Dude, he gave you a Planeswalker!" (Because someone had just given me cards). So now I have a Planeswalker! :)

So Many New Things!
Hi, everyone. Many things have changed for me since I first joined this wiki. I find it very sad that such a vast information database like this is not being tended to as much as it could or should. On another note, I will take the position of Discussions Moderator as responsibly as possible, and will follow the guidelines I've been set (when I end up hearing about them). Honestly, I don't know much: reinstating I'm a beginner. Sometimes what I do add is from Wikipedia and I will be sure to credit them where I use information from them. However I'm excited to see where the wiki takes me next. Cheers! :)
New Type of Mana!!!!
Hey not sure if anyone else noticed, but recently a new land and mana type was realeased.The land is called "Waste" and the mana color is "Colorless". Everbody please spread this so we can get some of that stuff on this wiki.

Rat deck advice.
I'm thinking about making a rat deck, all about making rats, powering up rats, and overall shutting down an opponents options, any tips or cards that might help.
(and yes I know about pack rat, including three of them in my deck.)
Which set, if it exits?
I am trying to figure out which set my Hydra Broodmaster and Font of Fertility come from. However, both have diferent artwork then the results I have seen. As an ad because I am looking up their played prices, they are both foil cards. Care to help out? Their set symbol looks like a shooting star.

What color(s) stand for a game of luck within a game of strategy?
I am new, and know very little about MTG, other than the colors, card types, and some of the abilities. However, I was wondering if it were possible to create a sort of 'gambling' deck for standard game play. Could anyone help a newbie that has 1 wins - 8 loses?

I've been on this wiki for a few months now and have noticed that the admins are not as active as other wikias and am wondering if we should get some more to help answer those technical questions that have been unanswered and help clean up the wiki?
