The Orzhov Syndicate is one of the ten Guilds of Ravnica. The guild is made up, predominantly, of lawyers, politians and businessmen and women. Though, sometimes, the Orzhov seem to come across as evil with no regard to the law, the syndicate is actually in place to keep a check on the law's reach and protect the rights of citizens to challenge any charge in a court of Ravnican law.
The ruling body of the Orzhov Syndicate is the Obzedat, a group of Orzhov patriarchs who's spirits have been held from passing so they can continue to rule. However, the actual Orzhov signatory (and in turn, true guildmaster) is unknown. The Obzedat are shown on the card Ghost Council of Orzhova.
In the card game, the Orzhov Syndicate are featured in the Guildpact set and are based around two colors, white and black. The Orzhov mechanic is Haunt.
Haunt (When this card is put into a graveyard from play, remove it from the game haunting target creature.)
This ability is utilized for triggered abilities when the haunted creature is put into a graveyard.
Just as the other Guilds, it has a dual-land, bounce-land and guildhall. (see Ravnica Block for exact cards)
