Each turn is broken into phases, which are then broken into steps. A player completes a turn by passing through all of them, in order:

  1. Beginning (untap, upkeep, draw)
  2. Main phase
  3. Combat (beginning of combat, declare attackers, declare blockers, combat damage, end of combat)
  4. Main phase (again)
  5. End phase

When your end phase is over, your opponent begins his or her turn.
